Split Restaurants

Eating out in Split happens in three bands. The palace lanes and the squares around the Peristyle carry the visitor-facing kitchens, busy from midday to late and priced accordingly. Varos, the old fishermen's quarter climbing towards Marjan, is where the konobas are: small rooms, grilled fish, peka ordered a day ahead. The third band runs along the water, from Matejuska and the Riva round to Bacvice and Znjan, where a terrace and a view are half of what you are paying for. The Pazar green market and the fish market off Marmontova set the seasons for all of them.
