Split Transport

Split's ferry port, bus station and railway station stand in one row on the eastern side of the harbour, a five minute walk from the palace, which is unusual and very convenient. Ferries and catamarans go from there to Brac, Hvar, Vis, Solta and further down the coast. Split Airport is at Kastela, about twenty five kilometres west towards Trogir, with a shuttle bus, taxis, transfers and every car hire desk. In the city itself the palace is pedestrian, so a car is for leaving town rather than for using in it.
