Split Shopping

The Pazar, the open green market on the palace's east wall, and the fish market off Marmontova are the two places worth going out of your way for, and both are morning trade. Souvenir shops fill the palace lanes, with the usual gradient from mass-produced to genuinely local: Dalmatian olive oil, island wine, Hvar lavender, Sinj lace. Marmontova is the high-street run, and the two big shopping centres sit out towards the eastern suburbs if you need something the centre does not carry.
